
Bhubaneswar: members of the Association of vegetable gardeners (KGA), Bhubaneswar, observed vegetable garden of the world Day here on Sunday sharing their experiences of growing fruits and vegetables at home.
As the experts shared their experiences, many attended the meeting to learn from them. Riva Mohanty presented the plants she had grown at home. She had brought a few to sell to the meeting at a nominal price. These included exotic vanilla and dragon fruit as well as curry leaves and vegetables.
“People like to grow plants that produce more oxygen and can be grown indoors,” said Riva, who has been gardening for two decades now and started selling plants two years before the Covid pandemic hit. -19.
An interactive session on vegetable gardens was also part of the program which was coordinated by the KGA management trustee Maheswar Khillar. tnn
